    Altmetric highlights media interest generated by your institution's research. BioMed Central has added Altmetric scores and badges to the trending articles tab on an institution's BioMed Central Membership page. The tool tracks how many times your article is mentioned in social media sites, blogs and news sources to measure how interesting the publication is to the community. The Altmetric score increases as more people mention an article. The 'donut' badge on the left side of the above image displays when an article has been tracked by and received coverage. The colours surrounding the donut represent the sources mentioning that article - blue for Twitter, yellow for blogs, red for mainstream media, etc. If an article has not been tracked, this means it has yet to receive coverage. is a BioMed Central Membership tool.

    Contains statistical data from the main demographic, economic and financial publications of the Bureau. It offers full text of all publications from 1998 onwards as well as downloadable time series in spreadsheet format and other datasets.
  • Australian Institute of Health and Welfare
    Australia's national agencyfor health and welfare statistics.
  • DatAnalysis Premium [Incl. Annual Reports Online] (Morningstar)  Icon  Icon
    Provides up-to-date financial information for all Australian ASX listed and delisted companies and is updated daily. Find detailed historical financial data from more than 50,000 annual reports going back to 1990, and interim and delisted data going back to 1996. Incorporates FinAnalysis data (listed company financial history and analysis). To access Annual Reports Online data, go to Search Tool / ASX Announcements (PDF) Search / Section B – select Periodic Reports, then Annual Reports. Then you can define your start and finish date for the report. Annual Reports data provides access to Australian companies' annual reports dating back to 1995. It also provides access to the full documentation of Australian Stock Exchange announcements from October 1998 to today, including prospectuses. These announcements are updated continually throughout the day.

    Year Book Australia is the principal reference work produced by the Australian Bureau of Statistics. It provides a comprehensive and detailed statistical overview of the nation.

International Statistics

    A database for the study of the modern Asia-Pacific. It provides access to reports, working paper series, and journals from Asia's most prestigious research institutions, covering business, economic, government, political, and social issues related to the nations of Asia-Pacific. The 55 countries covered include all of Asia from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Russia and the Central Asian republics and on east through India, Southeast Asia, China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific islands.

    Provides a wide range of financial and economic indicators. Effective January 1st 2015, the following IMF online statistics databases will be made available for free: International Financial Statistics, Balance of Payment Statistics, Government Finance Statistics, and Direction of Trade Statistics, as well as a number of other datasets. Data covered includes - exchange rates, IMF accounts, interest rates, government finance, consumer prices, reserves, national accounts and balance of payments, and some export and import data. Access is only available to the free statistical content.

    Provides access to a unique and comprehensive compilation of essential science performance statistics and science trend data derived from Thomson Scientific data. The chief indicators of productivity (overall influence) are journal article publication counts. Total citation counts and cites per paper are indicators of influence and impact (weighted influence).

Includes over 200 time series indicators from 1970 to 2011, for most reporting countries, and pipeline data for scheduled debt service payments on existing commitments to 2019.
  • World Development Indicators
    WDI Online offers the World Bank's comprehensive database on development data, covering more than 600 indicators, 208 economies, and 18 regional and income groups. The extensive collection of development data includes social, economic, financial, natural resources, and environmental indicators for more than forty years, 1960 to present where data are available.
  • World Health Organization statistical site
    The WHO Statistical Information System is the guide to health and health-related epidemiological and statistical information available from the World Health Organization.

    The primary World Bank collection of development indicators, compiled from officially-recognized international sources. It presents the most current and accurate global development data available, and includes national, regional and global estimates.
